3 Reasons You Aren’t Manifesting the Money You Want

You have been doing your affirmations. You’ve been rewriting your desire statement. Your envisioning yourself, living your life when it happens. But no matter what you do, you can’t seem to manifest the money you desire.

If you have been doing all of the manifestation practices you’ve come across in an attempt to manifest more money, yet not receiving it, it likely comes down to one of these three reasons:

#1 – You’re Not Saying You Want It

In the manifestation world, there is a word that has become, in my opinion, misused to the detriment of far too many people. That word is abundance.

Everyone is out there saying they want to manifest abundance. They want to live in abundance. They are surrounded by abundance. They are envisioning their life of abundance.

But here’s the catch. Abundance is a quantity. It is not money. You can have an abundance of money. You can also have an abundance of french fries. You can have an abundance of stress. So if you are not saying, you desire money and sugarcoating it under the word abundance it’s time to stop.

Besides the fact that abundance isn’t what you really want, your fear of using the word money as though it’s a bad word is a reflection of how you honestly feel about money.

So if you want to manifest more money into your life, claim it own it and let go of any guilt or shame you have around receiving it and holding onto it.

Money does not make you good or bad. Your personality, your values and all of the things that make you you will not change with money unless you allow them to.

#2 – You Don’t Know What The Money You Want Is For

When it comes to manifesting money, so many people are choosing vague numbers that they are trying to manifest without putting any real thought into how much money is required to live their ideal life.

Entrepreneurs chasing 10 K months because someone else told them they should.

Making your first million because it sounds good.

I wanna be a billionaire so effing bad.

But do you know what you would actually do with $10,000 a month? Or with your first million? What about 1 billion?

In order to manifest money, you must know what that money will afford you. Money is simply an exchange for what you truly desire. So you must be clear on what that underlying desire that the money is for really is.

So often, I see my clients say they just want to feel safe and secure, knowing that their bills are paid and that they can afford to do what they want when they want to do it.

But when they added up, their bills only come to $4000 a month, and they don’t really know what they do with the other $6000 they think they need with that $10,000 month.

If you don’t know what you would do with $10,000, you certainly don’t know what you would do with $1 million.

That’s why it’s so hard to manifest… and that’s also why you need to practice thinking bigger with your spending.

(Psst. This is something we start working on on Day 1 of Manifestation Madness)

#3 – You Won’t Allow Yourself To Receive It

This loops back to that misused word of abundance. If you feel shame, guilt, icky, greedy, selfish, not worthy, not ready, or anything else about money, you will not allow yourself to receive it.

This is becoming increasingly difficult in today’s political environment, where we are seeing rich people acting terribly, reinforcing the stereotype that rich people are bad.

And if we believe deep down in our hearts, and in our subconscious mind that rich people are bad, and we don’t want to become bad, we will not allow ourselves to receive money.

If we believe other people need money more than us and it’s selfish for us to accept more than we need, we won’t allow ourselves to receive it.

If you believe that you need to have a masters degree in order to make a certain salary, you will never receive the job offer with the salary you desire as long as you only have a bachelors.

The good news is, you can let go of these limiting beliefs and reframe your thoughts and beliefs about money.

And even aside from money, so many people, especially women are simply bad at receiving in general. We don’t receive favors we don’t receive help. We don’t receive compliments. Half the time, we are even holding our breath, unable to receive something as simple as oxygen into our lungs.

If any of this resonates with you, stop right now and just allow yourself to receive a breath. Allow yourself to receive that compliment without feeling the immediate need to reciprocate. Just allow yourself to receive. The more you practice receiving the little things, the easier it becomes to receive the big things like money.

3 Money Manifestation Mistakes You May Be Making

If you are like most people who love manifestation, you’ve tried to manifest money at least once. You may have experienced some success when it comes to manifesting money or it may be an area that still eludes you. Whether you are a pro at it or still waiting to hit that mark, there are three mistakes you may be making when it comes to manifesting money.

Here are three of the most common mistakes I see when it comes to manifesting money.

#1 – Oversimplifying It

The amount of people who oversimplify manifesting money is exactly what gives manifestation as a whole a bad name. So many people will tell you that the way to manifest money is to get clear on how much you want, ask for it, and wait for it to appear.

People talk about receiving unexpected money from unexpected sources as though random people are simply sending out cash in the mail to names they choose from the phonebook. As you may have already guessed, it doesn’t work that way.

Now, this is not to say that in order to manifest more money you necessarily need to work like a dog. It is possible to manifest more money through the same amount of effort you’re applying now, possibly even less, or maybe a little more. The fact is this all depends on what you are doing right now..

Money is an exchange of energy. If you are not putting out energy with which to exchange for money, you will never be able to manifest more money.

So where do these unexpected sums of money come from that so many people talk about?

These sums of money come from new opportunities. They come from money you have been owed and haven’t received in the past because of receiving blocks. They come from work you have already performed.

Money can come from a number of sources, but it is always an exchange. If you wish to manifest $5000, but are not putting out energy worth $5000 to someone you’re fighting an uphill battle.

#2 – Overlooking Opportunities

The next mistake you may be making when it comes to manifesting money is overlooking or turning down new opportunities to make money. This often comes by way of not wanting to do extra work. It can come from not be believing our work is worth it’s true value. It may be because we think we’re too busy.

But the fact is opportunities to earn more money, surround all of us each and every day. Those of us who manifest money with ease, recognize these opportunities more readily, and are willing to take action to make the most of these opportunities.

Just last month, I experienced a perfect example of this. I was asked to do a relatively simple extra project for someone I work with as a side job. With work being busier than usual the previous month my first thought was to turn it down. I honestly didn’t think I had time and it wasn’t a project that was super fun for me.

Then I remembered that the previous month had been busy because I was working on another project that we had completed, so my workload was going to lessen considerably. So I took the offer.

Because time was of the essence on this project we didn’t discuss the fee ahead of time. I just got Wright to work on it. When the project was completed in much less time than I expected, and the topic of the fee came up, the rate suggested was more than three times what I expected it to be. Rather than diminishing my value I accepted this fee and said thank you.

If I had turned down the opportunity due to the limiting beliefs, I had on my schedule and my desire to do this project, I would have $1000 less in the bank, right now.

So keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities you may be overlooking.

#3 – Obsessing About It

One of the most effective ways to stop your manifestation in its tracks  is to obsess about it. Yes, we want to maintain our focus on our desires. However, if we obsess about it in a negative way we end up giving out a vibration of the lack of having it. When our energy is filled with lack, we create more lack.

Another way obsessing over money can backfire is when we obsess over how we expect to receive the money we are trying to manifest. This can lead to overlooking opportunities and should not receiving money when it arrives. The obsession with the expectation of how it’s supposed to look blind us to what’s right in front of us.

Our job is to get clear on how much we want and why we want it, and allow the universe to deliver it in the way it sees fit. The universe always has our best interest in mind so while this money may come from an unexpected source we get to receive it and trust that it is what’s most beneficial for us even if we don’t understand why.
