Mastering Manifestation: Unleashing the Power of Your Subconscious Mind

I was introduced to manifestation and the law of attraction in the mid-2000’s, when, like millions of others around the globe, I saw the book and movie “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Also, like millions of others, I was in awe at the possibilities this theory opened up for me, yet I was still a bit skeptical. But I couldn’t help but wonder, if it worked for all these people, would it work for me too? When I set my mind to anything, I nearly always excel at it, so I assumed this would be the same. So, I began my quest to master the art of manifestation. I went about it in the same why I would with any other skill or interest: by learning as much as possible and perfecting all of the necessarily practices and methods in order to manifest my desires.

What I soon discovered was a seemingly endless supply of theories, universal laws, techniques, and practices, all claiming to be the one necessary step that would make all the difference. Over the years, I’ve read countless books on manifestation. I’ve taken months-long courses. For months, I spent an hour each day listening to recordings that promised to rewire my mind to manifest with ease. And I couldn’t tell you how many 7-, 14-, and 30-day manifestations challenges I’ve done over the years, all in an effort to become a master at manifestation. More often than not, after each new discovery, I would be raving about how amazing it is and how quickly I was manifesting my desires. I would revel in the excitement of finally figuring it all out as my desires came to me with ease. Yet just as quickly, this new-found power would fizzle out and I’d be disappointed yet again, wondering what I had done wrong.

Then, shortly after my 40th birthday, I experienced a distinct shift. Only days after becoming an affiliate with a direct sales company, I saw a team member share about an upcoming training on hypnotic marketing. Instantly intrigued, I signed up without an inkling of the journey this quick three-day training would ignite. As I learned about hypnosis and how the subconscious mind works, I began to see how our subconscious thoughts and beliefs affect what happens in our lives. I wondered what role it played in our ability (or inability in many cases) to manifest our desires. I made the decision to learn as much as I could about hypnosis and to become a certified hypnotist some day.

Not long after, I participated in my first group hypnosis session for manifestation and my suspicions were confirmed: Manifestation depends greatly on the subconscious mind. Throughout my training as a hypnotist, I learned how hypnosis can help you overcome limiting beliefs and build more confidence. I learned how it can help you maintain a more positive mindset, release self-sabotaging patterns, and let go of subconscious blocks that are holding you back from manifesting all you desire in life. I learned how hypnosis can help you visualize the life of your dreams so you can make it a reality. Yet no one was explaining how or why this worked and I felt intuitively that a piece of the puzzle was missing.

Even with hypnosis to help me with the manifestation itself, I still wasn’t sure what I wanted to manifest in my life. As a direct sales affiliate, our team leaders and mentors told us what the next milestones were, so I set my financial goals based on reaching these thresholds instead of determining what would afford me the lifestyle I want. I was trying to manifest a perfect wedding and marriage with a partner who was unemployed, unmotivated, and who I was not attracted to. I was imagining myself working for a certain company, but without a clear idea of what I would do there. While I now had the tool of hypnosis, I was still striving to manifest my desires with my ego and conscious mind and aiming to achieve goals that were never mine to begin with. I was still trying to “do” manifestation perfectly and master all the practices and techniques I was told would help. I was still constantly looking for signs and messages to validate or confirm that I was on the right path, even when I knew deep down that I wasn’t. So, my manifestations were always short-lived.

While hypnosis is a powerful tool to help you manifest, it cannot help you until you are clear on what you want to manifest and why. And it can’t help you until you choose a new way to manifest. A way that is remarkably different from the standard methods of setting and achieving goals. A way that allows you to thrive instead of strive. A way that aligns with your soul instead of your ego. A way that relies on the power of your subconscious mind instead of your conscious mind.

You may have already noticed some areas where you are trying to force your manifestation. Here is a quick assessment to see if you are relying too heavily on your conscious mind to attract your desires.

Take this 5-question self-assessment to see if you are stuck in conscious-mind manifestation:

  1. Are your goals 100% your own and aligned with what you truly desire in your life right now
  2. Are you relying heavily on affirmations – especially those created by someone other than you – and using affirmations that don’t feel true to you yet?
  3. Do you find yourself constantly trying to push yourself to make your desires come to fruition faster, thinking up ways to achieve them, and trying new manifestation techniques, rather than allowing yourself to go with the flow and receive?
  4. Are you overthinking your manifestation methods and always trying to do everything absolutely perfectly?
  5. Do you find yourself constantly looking for signs over and over again to confirm or validate your desires?

If you answered yet to any of these questions, you are likely still caught in your head – at least a little bit – when it comes to manifestation. It’s time to begin using the power of your subconscious mind for manifestation instead.

Unlock Your Manifestation Potential with Hypnosis

In my book, I share how there are really only two requirements for manifestation to occur: Clarity of your desire and maintaining an energy that matches that desire. However, achieving both of these is often not quite as simple, which is why manifesting often feels like an uphill battle.

This is especially true if you are not using the power of your subconscious mind to help you with your manifesting.

Before any of us begins to intentionally manifest anything in our lives, we have likely spent years in default-mode manifestation. This default mode exists on a subconscious level, and is often influenced mainly by our fears, societal expectations, and limiting beliefs about what is possible for us. That is why we end up stuck in the same pattern year after year.

Even when you decide to intentionally manifest something new, these patterns remain embedded in our subconscious mind until it is reprogrammed for new beliefs, new thoughts and feelings, and new behaviors that will lead us to creating the life of our dreams.

This is where hypnosis comes in.

Hypnosis works on a subconscious level to quickly to release old programming in our subconscious mind and replace it with new, positive programming instead. This can be immensely helpful for manifestations in several ways.

Here are the 3 main ways I use hypnosis for manifestation.

1. Releasing fear and limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuff

In order to move out of your comfort zone and into the life of your wildest dreams, you need to let go of fear, limiting beliefs, and other subconscious blocks that have been holding you back. Fear is a natural human reaction. It was designed to keep us safe from predators.

However, our bodies and our minds still have the same fear-based reaction to non-lethal threats – like taking a vacation alone – as we did to being approached by a sabertooth tiger. Likewise, our minds keep us in the same routine we are used to because we know we can survive it. Anything new is perceived as dangerous. So the subconscious mind holds onto fears, beliefs, and coping mechanisms that keeps us in this pattern of safety and security.

Through hypnosis, we can retrain our mind to let go of these fear-based patterns and create a new sense of safety and security in our desired life vision instead.

    2. Gaining clarity on spiritually aligned desires

Humans are herd animals. Again, with the survival mode of our distant ancestors, we have carried on as a species by sticking together and doing the same thing. However, in today’s modern society, we have so many more choices for our life than our ancestors did, yet we still shy away from them because we’re afraid of standing out. This often shows up as following along with the traditional path in our society and what others expect of us. How often have you set a goal for yourself based on what someone else thought was best for you?

But here’s the thing. When you release your fears and limiting beliefs, you also get to reevaluate your desires to be sure they are in line with what you truly want. If your goals are not what you want out of life – at least not now – your subconscious mind will either self-sabotage you, or your intuition and higher self will constantly nudge you in a new direction making you feel unsatisfied or unsure of your goal.

Through hypnosis, you can gain access to your spiritual connection, guides, higher self, and intuition to gain clarity on your goals and your soul purpose to be sure you are manifesting what is really in alignment for you.

      3. Building confidence and self-worth so you can receive your desires

Last, but certainly not least, if you are going to manifest your desires, you need to have the confidence to pursue them and the self-worth to receive them. Receiving is one of the most powerful acts in manifesting and it is also the most overlooked. In our society, we are trained that we need to work hard to earn something or that we have to take what we’ve been given.

The act of receiving is much more gentle and it is not what we are accustomed to. Because of this, many of us have a difficult time receiving our desires no matter how much we want them. We feel as though we haven’t worked hard enough for them or feel like we aren’t good enough. The list could go on, but women in particular have a resistance to receiving which blocks manifestation.

Hypnosis can open you up to receiving by building your confidence and increasing your sense of self-worth so you can receive your desires with ease.

Hypnosis for Manifestation: Why I use hypnosis more than traditional manifesting techniques

Why do I rely on hypnosis for manifestation more than traditional techniques like affirmations, vision boards, or the 3-6-9 method?

I’ll be honest. These techniques can be very effective, and I use some of them daily. However, on their own, these practices barely scratch the surface of what is possible for manifestation because they are only truly effective when they are paired with subconscious mind work, like hypnosis.

Now, let me share why each of these techniques falls short, and how to bring your subconscious mind into them to increase their power.

        #1 – Affirmations

Affirmations are great for shifting your mindset, reminding you of your goals, and refocusing your train of thought. Too often, however, affirmations trigger red flags in your mind and actually when you know what you are saying is not true. They can actually backfire in the long run.

Now, when you use affirmations within self-hypnosis, you are sneaking past the gatekeeper that’s calling “bullshit” so you can reprogram your subconscious mind to belief what you are saying. When used consciously, affirmations rely on repetition to retrain the subconscious, which is a much slower way to do this than hypnosis.

        #2 – Vision Boards

Vision boards are actually one of my favorite things and my accomplishment record with desires placed on my vision board is incredibly high. But if you’re simply pasting photos onto a board because they seem nice and you’d like to have that, and that’s it, you mostly likely won’t have the success I’ve had.

Instead, really tune into what you desire, why, and how you’ll feel when you receive it. Choose a photo, create an image in Canva, or find a particular phrase that fully embodies, and as you create your vision board, imagine these feelings filling your body. These feelings and your ability to evoke them come from your subconscious mind, so pairing this with hypnosis is even more powerful.

Then, revisit this several times a week. You may not have time to go through every image but tune into the items calling you on any particular day and recall those feelings you brought to mind when you created it.

        #3 – The 3-6-9 Method

Now let’s talk about the very popular 3-6-9 method. This method, like affirmations alone, focus on retraining the subconscious mind through repeatedly writing out your desires several times a day, and also recalling the feelings these desires bring up. Yes, it can be effective. But again, however, this method may not get through the gatekeeper of your mind if you are doing this exercise consciously. Instead, practice this while in a state of light hypnosis and watch your manifesting powers skyrocket!

        The Missing Piece

There is one really important aspect to consider. None of these techniques can help you with the #1 thing that blocks manifestation:

        Fear.

        • Fear that you’re not good enough.
        • Fear that you’re not worthy.
        • Fear of standing out and being seen.
        • Fear of leaving others behind.
        • Fear of the path less traveled.
        • Fear of the unknown.
        • Fear of failure.
        • Fear of success.
        • Fear, fear, fear, fear, fear!!

Seriously, I wrote at least 5 more down but had to draw the line somewhere.

        Here’s the amazing news:

Hypnosis can help you let go of these fears, limiting beliefs, and subconscious block by finally getting to the cause of the fear, releasing it, and then replacing it with more beneficial thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, like confidence, empowerment, and self-trust.

Manifesting with hypnosis isn’t just another ritual to do each day. Rather, it’s a highly effective way to clear your path to manifestation of subconscious obstacles so you can create the success you deserve.
